Get ready for three random recommendations each week whether it be shows on Netflix that have gotten me through quarantine, music and artists my family has been vibing with, podcasts to listen to and more fun things to check out.

**disclaimer: I'm no influencer, but sometimes it's fun to write about what you like.

1. The Morning Toast

ree

The Morning Toast is a millennial-targeted morning show covering all things pop culture hosted by two sisters, Claudia Oshry and Jackie Oshry. I started listening about a year ago to ease myself into the podcast world, and their hilarious sister connection and impressive guest stars kept me hooked. If you're looking for a way to get in your daily *juicy* news fix and a good laugh to start your morning off, give it a listen.

P.S. - I'm in about 3 different "toaster" groups with girls from all different cities - such a fun way to meet new people.

2. The Politician

If I'm being honest I was late to the game to watch this show, and my only regret is that I didn't watch it sooner. The Politician is about a high school student, Payton Hobart, and his life goal of becoming the president of the United States. Payton's dysfunctional family dynamic and his campaign staff comprised of his high school friend group are truly what make this show so fascinating. The drama, the campy storyline and the costume designs are unmatched. This was a true binge-watch during the heat of quarantine and if you haven't watched yet, what a subtly perfect reminder to get out there and register to VOTE!

3. Nonnina in River North

I recently moved back home to Chicago post-graduation and this was my family's first experience going downtown this summer. We stumbled upon Nonnina on a Chicago foodie Instagram page and had to try. My mom and I split this Cavolo salad and a Margherita pizza - it was to die. I highly recommend their (dry - duh) rosé too if you enjoy a glass of vino. They had the nicest staff and I felt completely comfortable on their socially distanced patio. 8 out of 10!
