Just getting started!

Welcome! I have been looking for an inspiration to finally start the blog my friends have heard me go on about for months now. Writing can be pretty damn scary. What if people don’t read it? What do I even want to write about? Where do I even get started? I pushed this off for so long because I didn’t want to deliver things people didn’t want to hear. I finally am at a place where I can do this for myself for fun and maybe some people will pick up what I’m putting down along the way.

I don’t know whether it was all of the A’s on my English papers and the C+’s on my math exams growing up or my brain constantly running in a thousand different directions, but I realized I freaking love to write. I would love to tell you that I always carry around a pen and paper, jotting down creative things, but I’d be lying.

This blog is not only inspired by my love for pop culture and writing, but it also stems from wanting to create something meaningful in light of the some of the negativity and uncertainty the world is experiencing right now. I've found silver linings each day through other people who stand for such incredible causes and continuously radiate positivity and realness, and I think that is something worth writing about.

With the perfect combination of socially immersing myself in unique experiences and a way with words, I guess you could now call me a blogger - of sorts.

P.S. - this isn’t your typical blog. I can swear and use contractions if I want to.
